 Skogens Kol was established more than 100 years ago in 1876 during  the industrialisation of Sweden. Charcoal was than very important to  the ironworks and the need for coal was enormous. The company  bought forest and established central coal production plants along
 side the northern rail track in Sweden. At a later state the company  decided to go ahead with an industrial production plant and the  building in Sibo outside Kilafors was built. It is the very same one that  we use today. At the peak of the production there were 8 kilns in  operation and no less than 100,000 m³ firewood was turned in to  charcoal. The company boomed.
 Today Skogens Kol is both successful and stable. An in-dept  improvement is taking place of the old production plant. We are today  the only industrial size producer of charcoal in Scandinavia and our  quality is very high.
